Hey Crafty Chick here! Sorry that picture was so bad! So for halloween I was some gothic girl skeleton and needed a shirt. Voila! It doesn't look super great from the angle shown but you get the idea.
GET YOU SUPPLIES
You will need a long sleeved T-shirt, scissors, marking chalk (or if you are super lazy like me the sticky part of a post-it), ruler, and needle with matching thread.
MEASURE
Give a one inch space between each mark. I used sticky notes cut into small pieces because I am SUPER lazy! Go all the way down the shirt.
It should look like this. Looks kinda like a street.
CUT
Cut long slits from the side of the shirt (leave at least 1/2 inch between end of cut and seam) LEAVE AN INCH AND 1/2 SPACE BETWEEN EACH SIDE OF THE SHIRT! LEAVE SPACE BETWEEN THE CUTS ON EITHER SIDE!
MORE CUTS
Cut small lines in the left over space in the middle. Cut in between the longer slits and don't go any farther than the starting point of the slits on either side.
WEAVE
Take the fabric between the middle slits and pull it into the hole above it. Pull down and take the next middle piece and pul it through the loop. Continue all the way down. Sew or safety pin the bottom loop to the bottom seam.
That's it! I hope you like it! You can use this basic cut for any shirt. Please share and comment below. Feel free tovisit anything else on my site and I'll talk to y'all later! Bye!
